Saniderm Aftercare Instructions
Your bandage should remain over the tattoo for up to 5 days maximum to avoid any skin irritation. Only 3 days maximum if this is your first time using Saniderm.
-If you notice any severe redness or blistering around the bandage, please discontinue use as you may have an allergy to adhesives. A small amount of redness is normal.
-If you have a small area of the film start to peel up, you can tape it down as long as the tattoo is not exposed.
Saniderm helps eliminate sticking to sheets and clothing and is relatively maintenance-free.
You will have blood and ink pooling under the film, and this is normal. You may even have some leakage outside of the bandage, which is totally fine.
Showering with Saniderm on is allowed, but do not actively scrub around the bandage. Do your best to keep the tattoo out of the water until you are ready to remove it.
-Do not soak or submerge the bandage until your three day limit is up. To remove the film, gently scrub around it with soap and water and gently peel it off. Don’t rip it off dry.
---------------------------------
If your bandage peels up or is torn and exposes your tattoo, it must be removed to prevent infection.
Follow Standard Aftercare instructions after removing the Saniderm.
Wash it with antibacterial hand soap three to four times a day, pat it dry, and apply a thin layer of unscented hand lotion like Lubriderm. Healing is completed when the tattoo is not flaking anymore and has a shiny appearance. Avoid sun exposure and submersion until it is completely healed.
